Third Wave Wichteln 2016

This year I took part, as I usually do, in the annual speciality coffee secret santa: The Third Wave Wichteln. The Wichteln takes place across 60 different countries and has people swapping their favourite speciality coffees with one another along with some festive cheer.

Today I gladly received my delicious coffee all the way from Tel Aviv in Israel. Although the Wichteln specify that you send filter beans, I couldn’t help running my haul through the La Pavoni to see what happened.

The beans were roasted by Mae Coffee and were grown in Costa Rica. In the cup I got a bright smooth coffee with bags of milky chocolate. Delicious! I’ll be taking this to work and giving it a go in the Aeropress.
